About the Artist
Work/ Art/Life:

I have been involved in the arts for nearly 20 years as an artist, consultant, gallery owner and curator. The arts are a doorway into a deeper understanding of ourselves and our society. They are an integral part of the health and awareness of any culture. The creativity, sensitivity and scope of individual expression involved in art-making keeps all aspects of a society’s life vital and energized.

Personally, I am working on an ongoing body of work, The Weather Project, which chronicles movement of clouds and light in the sky, over time. This includes taking daily photos, recording historical data and video taping clips of sky. Paintings are then created, based on segments of time.

There is one sky, one earth, one people; each of these three exists simultaneously and in amazing variety. We need to acknowledge the unity and interconnectedness inherent in life on this planet and honor it.

I hope to be part of the movement to raise people's awareness of the environment and our delicate connection to it through the creation of art and media that is based on appreciation of nature and the diversity of life.
